All of our walkies are programmed to work with each other, no matter the model number. Some productions prefer CP200s because of a slight delay when turning the walkie on and off, but either way the most current model for walkies is the CP200ds. In fact, Analog walkies are being slowly phased out. Many productions often enjoy doing a hybrid rental to accomodate those who prefer to work without a surveillance and require turning their walkies on and off (i.e. director) and those crew members that always keep their walkies on and only care about the quality of the communication. 

Yes! Of course. We believe everyone should have access to essential equipment on set. Our co-founder Christine Chen who is not only an indie filmmaker herself and works as a DGA 1st AD, created the company because she was frustrated that producers provided toy walkies in lieu of professional walkies, which often caused more problems. Please just let us know what your budget situation is and we will do our best to match. We often provide grants to students. We also have smaller channel walkies that are half price but are useful for smaller crew sizes!
